I celebrated my 70TH birthday with my wife hoping to have pleasant & enjoyable paella dinner. I had a voucher which had expired ($25 for $50) and a HQ certificate for ""ORDER ONE ENTREE AND GET ONE FREE"". The server, who was quite good, upon handing me the bill told me that only one voucher could be used. I explained that I was using only one voucher and redeeming my paid-up front $25. The ""OWNER"" came to our table, raising his voice yelling that only one voucher could be used and refused to allow me to speak. Within moments, his angry and perhaps foolish response was...""THERE ARE MANY MORE RESTAURANTS IN CRANFORD, NJ, GO TO THEM!"" Getting angry at a customer...WelL, your wish is my command... CERVANTES RESTAURANT has been removed from our outside dining list. To all out there, discourteous behavior is unacceptable at ALL times in the service industry. However tasty the paella was there was a bitter taste left in our mouths! more

I went to this restaurant and I was very satisfied. I am an assistant organizer of a meetup group who organized to have an event at this fine Spanish Restaurant. 50 individuals showed up and all had a great time. The wait staff did a great job taking care all the participants that showed up for this event. I was very impressive on how they handle themselves.. I also thought the food and the sangria was delicious. I had the seafood paella and I was totally satisfied. I am definitely planning a trip back. This restaurant has some of the finest Spanish food I have tasted anywhere. The Paella and the \r Arroz con Camarones are outstanding. The food is even fresher and tastier than many similar restaurants in New York City. If you live in the area, be sure to try this gem of a restaurant. Pros: It's all good. Cons: It may be a bit pricy for some pocketbooks. more

I had a romantic evening here and really enjoyed it. The bar is really nice and the drinks are also very good. The Food was amazing and the service was great. The ambience set the mood. Its a place for special occassions. I can honestly say that I enjoy coming to this restaurant. The food is a little expensive. However, the food is delicious.Will definitely go back!
