Carousel Corner Preschool /Child Care Center Inc

If I could give more than five stars, I would! I have had three children enrolled at Carousel Corner, and have had nothing short of a fantastic experience. All three of my children were enrolled in the school age classroom throughout the summer break. I was extremely impressed by the frequent field trips and outings the class went on. I was privileged enough to join a few of them, and I was very impressed by the teachers and staff. They remained calm, and safety oriented in all situations. Their love of education is apparent in their actions and the activities they do with the children. My children came home week after week with projects that promoted science, math, and language skills. All three of them absolutely loved their class, and fought when it was time to leave. I would highly recommend Carousel Corner to anyone looking for a loving, fun, and educational center. more

The teachers at this daycare are FANTASTIC!! That is the only reason they get 2 stars. My child absolutely adored them. The outdoor toys and play area are pretty good too. However, the director here ruined the ability for our child to remain here. One day, she will be sweet as honey and the next 4 days she is rude, in a nasty attitude, or often, just glares at you through her office window and doesn't even say hello. She will confront parents in the lobby in front of your child and other parents rather than ask you to step into her office. She takes your child's word on things and goes against your explicit requests regarding your child and then charges you money because she took your child's word and gave them a priveledge you specifically told her you did NOT want. This is not just my story, but the story of many I know who have experience with this daycare including current parents, past parents, and previous employees of the daycare. All these things convinced me this was not the place for my child as the negativity stemming from her office often can felt throughout the center when she is present. more

This day care was great at first. They offered before and after school care to South Colby Elementary. Thier corriculum was sound and my child seemed to learn alot. Then they made staffing changes and fired/shuffled a whole bunch of teachers around. I no longer got educational work back, the classrooms seemed way over crowded, and the discipline/behavioral problems started to crop up. I think they could be great but I had to pull my children based on what i saw happening. When visiting to determine if its right for your kids, I say do a couple "surprise visits" during the middle part of the day. It really opened my eyes and caused me to go elsewhere. more

Carousel Corner offers a very loving and caring atmosphere for your child. The staff there is friendly and there to listen to whatever needs your child may have. They have many fun learning activities planned for the kids on a daily basis and in the summer plan special outings. If you are looking for child care this is the place to go. more
