FAVOLOSO 4/14/2007

This place is the best. Last night my husband and i visited Cacciucco for the first time. They had a chef in the dining room making flambe', zabaglione and other desserts. We ordered a seafood risotto flambe' and chef Alberto made it perfect. The whole experience was simply fantastic. We found this restaurant on citysearch and i have to say.......Cacciucco was the best discover. We loved the atmosphere, trendy, relaxing, unrushed......and the service is friendly and very helpful.We'll go back very soon. Pros: CHEF IN THE DINING ROOM, PEOPLE WATCHING, EXCELLENT SERVICE more

Very good, thin pizza!!!!!!! 4/5/2007

I went to Cacciucco last night with a friend. My friend order the lobster ravioli, i got the ahi tuna.......both Fantastic, fresh, well prepard, delicious.We also split a margherita pizza............was really really really thin, crispy....WOW...the best i've ever had. We were soooo happy. Very nice restaurant. Pros: Best pizza.......good quality food. more

THEIR PROSCIUTTO ROLLS ARE A THING OF HEAVEN, I COULD JUST EAT THAT AND I WOUL BE SATISFIED.PORTIONS ARE GENEROUS AND FOOD IS INCREDIBLE. BEST IN TOWN. THE FOOD WAS AWESOME, BOTH MY BOYFRIEND AND I HAD PASTA DISHES. IS ONE OF THE BEST TASTING ITALIAN FOOD WE HAD. THE SERVERS ARE ALWAYS ON TOP OF THINGS AND NEVER PUSHY.THEY HAVE A GREAT WINE AND DINNER MENU AND LOT'S OF CREATIVE SPECIALS. IT IS NOT A A BIG RESTAURANT SO I WOULD RECOMMEND RESERVATION. THE ATMOSPHERE IS CONFORTABLE AND RELAXING AND ALMOST EVERY TABLE IS BY A WINDOW. WE NEVER FELT RUSHED, JUST FELT PAMPERED. GREAT PLACE....... CACCIUCCO is the best kept secret in Sausalito. Fortunately I would like to tell everyone. I live in Sausalito and I have been dining in every restaurant in town & my favorite is CACCIUCCO. The owner and staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is modern/traditional Tuscan cuisine very authentic and the wine selection is strictly Italian only. The atmosphere is cozy, romantic and relaxing. It?s the local?s favorite spot. Their menu changes seasonally and seafood and different kind of game are always present in the daily specials. GREAT DINNER 3/21/2007

We visited this highly recommended restaurant last night. At first we asked suggestions for couple bottles of wine. We opened a superb Chianti Riserva and a strongly recommended Supertuscan (CORBAIA 2001), they were right..........the wine was spectacular. We ordered some appetizers, salads and different entrees'.AMAZING ...AMAZING ...AMAZING. We all agreed, this was one of our best meal in the bay area.\r We finished with few espressos and a strawberry flambe'made right at our table. The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for an unrushed dining experience. The service is professional and knowledgable about wine and food. Unforgettable experience. We'll go back soon. I live in Sausalito and I?ve watched restaurants come and go in this location for over 10 years. Cacciucco opened 3 years ago and has been going strong since. They are specialized in contemporary Tuscan cuisine offering some of the traditional dishes as well. If you like Italian wines this is your place. They have a wide selection of wines from all over Italy and particularly from Tuscany. I have been there for dinner numerous times with my family and friends. The food in consistently great, the staff is friendly and well informed. The restaurant is always busy especially on weekends and having a reservation is a must. Great Tuscan neighborhood place! 3/17/2007

My friends and I love going to this very Tuscan neighborhood place. The food is great, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the owner is on the premises 90% of the time, adding a special touch. The special daily entrees offer the best choices, however the regular menu has real standouts. WORTH THE WAIT 3/16/2007

Last saturday our party of four waited for almost an our for the first table available. It was pick time (around 8ish).We did not have a reservation, so we sat at the bar, we ordered some wine and couple appetizers, the wine they suggested was incredible and the food was delicious. I have to say that we enjoy our wait at the bar as much as the whole experience. We had then a nice table by the window and our dinner was absolutely superb. For dessert we had fresh zabaglione and the owner made it right at our table.........\r This is a fantastic restaurant.........we suggest to make reservation, but after all is WORTH THE WAIT. AUTHENTIC TUSCAN 3/9/2007

I've been searching for an authentic Italian restaurant for years.........finally a friend recommended Cacciucco! What a nice place. The 'real thing', fantastic Tuscan cuisine not americanized. Wonderful wine list of only fine Italian wines( mostly Tuscans). I believe they only use Italian ingredients cheeses, some of the seafood and meats, even the sugar pockets are from Italy. THIS IS THE HOT SPOT 3/7/2007

This is the spot for locals.......not the usual Sausalito touristy scene. I visit this place often with my boyfriend. We enjoy the food of course and the fabulous atmosphere. This is the little secret of the local celebrities. The cuisine is innovative, not the traditional Italian. The menu changes seasonally and is always creative and a little exotic. The wine selection is strictly Italian only. David the owner is always present taking care of every guest. We love this restaurant is one of the gem of Sausalito.
