Brewed Awakenings has recently became my all time favorite coffee place! I love the one in Orchards best of all! I usually get a White chocolate mocha with a splash of Creme Da Mint!! Delicious!! The staff has always been friendly and respectful! more

Consistency of the coffee is great. I go there for coffee when I need a pick me up. However, I am giving it only 2 stars because they never have change. 8 out of 10 times, they ask me if they can use a debit card instead of cash. The people who own this company are total jerks. I worked there once and believe me, I would never go there as a customer. The manager actually had a training session about how to fool the Health Inspector in case they showed up and found out we keep the milk sitting out on the counter for hours, and various other violations. The owners are rude to their staff and treat them based on their attractiveness. They try their best to hire only attractive people, I guess they are afraid the customers will be repelled by unattractive people. The manager once asked me if I thought a new hire was too fat. This is the best coffee house in Vancouver, period, and beats most I've been to in Portland as far as the quality of product they serve. I went to Stumptown Roasters for my birthday and was disappointed, but I've never been disappointed at Brewed Awakenings. Their Grande Double MIndbender is the best black coffee I've ever had anywhere. It's absolutely addictive. Plus their pastries are excellent. They have some of the tastiest quickbreads I've ever had, with generous portions. Recently, because of the downturn in the economy, I had to stop going and picking up my usual order on Fridays. After four weeks they still knew who I was and remembered what it was that I usually ordered. They are always very friendly and deserve the tips they get. I can't recommend them more highly. This is the best espresso place in the area. The people working for there are always happy and friendly when I go in. They remember my name and what I drink. When I have to travel I can't wait to get back to coffee I consider the best. They have been here for 9 or 10 years. As I remember Cindy's Java Buzz came to the area a few years later and has about half the customers as Brewed Awakenings. The sign says "" Down the Street from Ordinary."" What a joke !! The only other Coffee Place on the street is Cindy's Java Buzz that has been there a lot longer. The are so negative I call them ""Rude Awakenings."" I do not like this new sign they have out in front of there place. It is rude. I will not go to that coffee place. I will go to Cindy's Java Buzz that has alot more customer service and does not need to be negative. Cons: Negative attitiude and advertising more
