As a man and Navy veteran, I've always paid very little for my haircuts. I always thought it was a little ridiculous to pay more than $15 for my haircut. However, my wife introduced me to Bella just over 1 year ago and I've been going back there monthly ever since. \r There's something to be said about staff that knows your name and a very friendly environment. Such a welcoming atmosphere. It's also a huge bonus to know that the hands used in cutting my hair do not smell like cigarette smoke. Ugh, how I hate that smell of nasty smoke breath and hands in my face when I'm getting my haircut. \r They do a great job of knowing the style I like and I'm confident that my haircut won't look different from month to month. \r I actually look forward to taking a little break from my work-day to get my hair cut. You certainly get what you pay for, and a $15 cut doesn't 'cut it' for me anymore. I hope they stick around for a long time. more

I want to thank you for expressing you concerns, I realize yes, we are busy and it does feel rushed when we are running behind, that is because we are so concerned about our guests, who are our priority, We try so hard to stick to our schedule so as not to make you wait, because we realize your time is valuable, however, it does happen time to time where things take longer than anticipated. The product recommendations; I want all guest to have the ability to style their hair when they return home so they are not left wondering why they cannot get their hair to preform the way that we do, so we do try to educate the guest on what will work best for they're particular style. We all are aware that money is tight and certainly don't want to come across as pushy , we just have found most guests want to know how to repeat their style, so that is why we do recommendations for them. From time to time I do have hard day like the rest of the word and I do apologize if you caught me when I was tense, I appreciate the feed back and I will work on it. I feel hugely blessed to be able to do hair, I love it and it is the best job in the world. So please let Joanna know we have talked and I want to personally meet you perhaps I can create a new look for you and give you better experience this time, Please come and check us out at our new location 1910 college parkway. Hi Gresalda, My name is Jeannette Bonaldi and i am the owner of bella. I appreciate you concern for the staff of bella. I am so glad you were able to express yourself on citisearch because I know most people don't actually know how I pay my staff. So I thought I would take this opportunity to share with you. My staff is paid hourly plus a commission on al services they do. I decided to pay this way because as a 25 year veteran of the beauty industry I have found most hairdressers starve to death can never take a vacation and don't know if they have a feast or famine the week that they work. I wanted more for my staff a gaurentee for them, so they can make there house payment or car payment or just know that they will always have a check. as a matter of fact all the staff makes an overall average of 50 to 78 percent the highest paid employees on the west coast. I have offered to pay straight commission none have wanted it. I am proud to say I over 1-3 weeks paid vacation, paid education, in addition, cost on purchase of all products and of course a fabulous Christmas party to say thank you every year to celebrate our appreciation of their hard work. Most of all we support our staff in any and all ways. It is 2010 and no hairdresser in the store currently makes less than $13 and hour most make more plus commission on services. \r You also noticed my car, It is pretty fun, I bought it used so I saved a bundle! and my dad alway told me ""by quality, you get what you pay for"", since I can not work on cars I went for a good one and to my delight to have my car serviced is about the same, if not less than, having my toyota serviced! You Probably know that My husband and I owned and operated 2 business, employing 35 people and spend most of time at work. So the time spend on the road back and forth to work needs to be made the most of. Since my husband survived his bout with cancer I try to do everything I can to make the best of life for us, time is short. So thank you again for bring up these concerns, most people probably are curious I appreciate being able to let them know and thank you for coming to bella we love what we do and it is a privalege to serve you our valued guest. Great Service - Lovely Owner - Good Quality 4/18/2007

Its a great place if you want to chat and get treated at the same time! You walk in and are immediatly welcomed by the friendy receptionist and are given the quality of queens when you sit down on that salon chair. I have been going there for years and have seen the exceptional workers leave and the best stay and give Bella a right to their name. Nothing but a lovely review here. :] Pros: Great workers, good Spritzers! Great experience! Cons: Kind od a long wait, a little pricey more

Overpriced - Save your Money, Go Somewhere Else! 3/27/2006

I spent ""mucho deniero"" at Bella and was really disappointed with the results. The atmosphere is nice and it seems like a really chic, upper-class place, but the stylists just don't have what it takes to charge such outrageous prices. I got a much better trim from Rebecca at the Penney's salon on South Carson Street. I also had to have them fix my haircolor after Bella's messed it up.
