Barnes & Noble

I've never been a fan of the huge bookstores, but Barnes and Noble is better than most. The staff typically know how to find what your looking for, although it can be difficult finding someone to help you. The selection of books is good, and they will order just about anything for you. The organization can be odd sometimes, and the alphabetization withing a letter (Ab vs At) is not always done correctly. The best part of this store, for me, is their hardback reprints of classics. These little books are the perfect size (the print is very small, however) and come with their own ribbon bookmark. more

My family and I like Barnes & Noble. They have a great selection of books and music; but most of all, their magazines selection is quite extensive. There are many people who pick out their book/magazine and read away on the benches. I kind of like this idea, but not necessarily too crazy about it . Why? Because by the time that someone who may be interested in buying the item gets their hands on it, it would no longer be in the excellent condition. Yet, they're still going to pay for the asking price on the item. Either that, or Barnes & Noble take a loss on items not sold... which in turn would eventually raise the cost on other items. On the other hand, if you just want to hang out and read, this would be a great place to do so. The employees are friendly which is always a plus. It is also conveniently located near the mall and variety of restaurants. more

Barnes and Noble has a good selection of music not always found in the music stores, especially if you are into music of different countries and cultures. They are very helpful and will order anything for you if they don't have it in. Very helpful and knowledgeable even on esoteric titles. more
