wow, what can i say about this gym. First off if you are any kind of weight lifter, don't go here. They only have two flat benches for use with dumbbells. These are usually occupied. Or some asshole is doing a workout somewhere else while keeping his stuff on one of the benches. People here are loud and obnoxious. One guy had brought his 4 kids ages 12-16 to workout with him on 2 seperate occassions. I assume he does this all the time. That was a loud mess. I doubt all of those kids had their own memberships. Did I mention the people here are weird as hell? People will have a loud conversation right next to you while you are working out. This place is dirty. Lots of jerk off people wont put their weights back on the racks after using them. I've seen two people throw weights across the floor after using them. I wanted to throw weights at them. Lots of people slam weights after a set too. There isn't any way to clean benches after using them so if you don't bring a towel you will have to put your head on a big sweat stain. Just too many low class people here. Not what you would expect in beachwood. more

First, the positive aspects. The gym has a pretty good selection of equipment, and their track oval is a great plus. I haven't tried all of the exercise classes, but based on the ones that I've attended or observed, I think their instructors are quite good. The negative aspects: The management tends to be overly permissive of things such as loud talking or other impolite behavior. For example, I've seen a lot of foul language thrown around publicly, which isn't good gym etiquette. I've also seen guys tinker with the volume settings on the overhead TVs or help themselves to the exercise room CD player, thus inflicting their noise on the public. Speaking of noise, in some of the cardio classes, you'll find a bunch of guys barking like dogs, as though to call attention to themselves (even when they're not doing the moves!). This is the sort of thing that gym management should really ask people to avoid, out of consideration for everyone else. In short, this is a very well-equipped gym with some wonderful people. It also has some of the worst gym behavior that I've ever seen, though. If the management would just try to enforce some more discipline and consideration for others, it'd be a great gym indeed. more

I woke up one morning and realized that I needed to go to the gym. OK, I knew long before that morning; but that particular morning I decided that it could not wait another day. So, off to Bally's I go, expecting to find a bunch of hunky men and pixie dixie women. What I found instead was a group of professionals that was willing to go the extra mile to assess your needs, analyze your current situation and determine your needs. They offer the most personalized service you could imagine, down to remembering your birthday. Although this branch has hundreds of members, the staff knows you on a first name basis. It is like being a part of a new family. They are great!!! more
