I agree with a few other reviews unethical and money hungry. The staff is extremely rude. They charge you and do not tell you what they are charging you for. It takes days to have a nurse call back and answer your questions. On one of my last appointments I was locked outside in the cold for 15 minutes due to a staff meeting and when we were let in the bathroom was out of order. The practice admin. is nasty and disrespectful. Do not use this practice!!! more

After my last doctors visit a few months ago I was told that I needed to come back in 4-6 months for a checkup. They wanted me to go ahead and schedule my 6 month appointment but I told them that I didn't want to schedule something so far away when I didn't know what I would be doing in 6 months. They told me that that was fine and I could schedule the appointment myself when the time came. Fast forward to now. I received a missed call from them one afternoon but they didn't leave a voicemail. I figured it was them reminding me to schedule my appointment. Nope. Come the next week they called me to tell me that I missed an appointment and that I needed to pay a $35 penalty fee. They said they called to remind me last week, which is why I had a missed call. \r \r I've talked to so many people from their office about this and still they will not remove the charge and have been most unhelpful and rude. I have been a patient at Azalea for several years. My experiences have always been positive - from front desk staff, nurses, physicians and aestheticians. Frankly, I've been to other practices that have an assembly line atmosphere and you wait over an hour past your appointment time. Not here! They treat me like an individual, go above and beyond to address my needs and questions, and always seem upbeat and relaxed. More importantly, they don't seem to triple book patients like other practices do. I get in on time and don't feel rushed! Highly recommend! more

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO AZALEA GYNECOLOGY. After an appointment, they try to schedule a new appointment for you and even if you say you cannot commit to that appointment, they apparently go and put it in the books anyway, then try to charge you for it down the road. I am currently in a battle with them over $35 (!!!) because they claim that I missed an appointment that I informed them I would not be able to commit to. The front office was so unfriendly and rude about the charge that I have had to take my complaint to the NC Attorney Generals office and to the BBB. Go to Glen Meade instead!!!! There are plenty of doctors out there and it is the customer service that separates one office from another and this office has NONE. more

Although my initial impression of this office was a very good one, I soon found out otherwise. This office is terrible and I will never go back again- worst doctor's office experience ever!! Although the staff is very friendly, they are using extremely questionable billing tactics by overbilling the patients and the insurance companies for procedures that they did not treat. They have a medical questionaire asking if you have had any particular issues in the past and if you check yes, and then they ask you about the previous medical issue during your exam (even though you are not currently experiencing that medical issue and it was treated and resolved in the past), they then add a billing code onto to your chart for every issue that they spoke to you about- even though you don't have those medical issues anymore and didn't ask or solicit any help for those medical issues!! What they are doing is completely illegal and I have already filed complaints with the insurance company who confirmed what they are doing is not right, as well as other state agencies. After looking them up online after this happened to me, I have found numerous complaints from other patients about the same issue. This office is TERRIBLE, and the office manager refused to work with me and denied what they are doing is illegal. DO NOT GO HERE, all they care about is getting money!!! Pros: null Cons: null more

I have been seen by Azalea Gynecology for several years without any problems and, in fact, had excellent quality care. However, at my last visit I was charged for a "sick visit" as well as my "annual well visit" on the same day because of answering provider directed questions. When I called and questioned the charge with the practice manager, he was quite disrespectful to me and insisted that they were within their contractual obligation with BCBS to bill for such charges (and BCBS did agree when I questioned the charge). I was not ever told during my visit that I would be charged for 2 visits on the same day and I believe that the provider breached the agreement that they had with me and such changes in billing should have been discussed at the time of the visit. After I made a complaint, I was terminated from the practice. Such a disappointing experience. more

Meh- I received a flippant attitude when I talked about my concerns and left feeling unsatisfied. Other visits have been positive- did I catch them on an off day?\r \r Also- and this has nothing to do with the quality of care- but I find the va-jay-jay t-shirts the admin staff wears a little eccentric. I have been coming for facials and other cosmetic treatments for 4 months now and think that Jane is terrific. I would follow her anywhere! However, her days/appointments are limited to one or two days per week. Please give consideration to allowing her a schedule that fits more naturally with other Azalea patients' schedules. She is certainly a keeper! more

Loved my new gyno office. Moved to the area after being with same doc for 12 years and was comfortable and somewhat nervous about switching, but it was a great experience and b/c it was a new relationship they were very thorough spent a lot of time getting history and answering my questions, felt at home and able to ask anything and got good answers. Visit with PA Melissa Smith. She was great! more

I never knew the impact Dr.Celine Daily and her staff would make in my life when I started going to her over 2 yrs ago. In 2006, I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst. I was a week away from my wedding and unsure what to expect of the upcoming procedure. Dr. Daily sat me down and made me feel more comfortable than I ever thought possible. She explained everything to me and made sure that I knew exactly what was going on, and beside the fact that my husband and I desperately wanted children, she kept my spirits up. Dr. Daily performed my surgery as well as saving my ovary, without her and her staff, and the strength and Love of my husband..I don't know how I would have made it through that process. She has definately made a difference in my life. more

LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT! This is the first time a doctor actually listened to me about my problems and didn't talk at me. She explained everything, details and all, and happily answered my questions. We weren't able to address everything in my first appointment, but she did go everything I mentioned, made some notes, and I left the office with confidence in my doctor. I now have a little bit of hope that I might see a light at the end of a very long tunnel. Especially when everyone else just said I was going to have to deal with it. Not something that happens very often these days. Only draw back is that you will have to wait 1-3 months for your appointment, but it is soooooooo worth it. more

Can you believe I was actually looking forward to going to the gyno? Yeah, well you understand, but have only been going here for two years now but have had been there a lot thanks to my PCOS, I called to make my next appointment and they said Donna Bass is gone? Now I am nervous to go back and get comfortable with a new doctor when Donna already knows my history and I was comfortable with her, now I have to start all over again!!!!!!!!! more

Best OB/GYN office in Wilmington. I was not sure about switching but my last OBGYN was so unpleasant I couldnt bring myself to go back. This office is wonderful. You will not regret going there. They are professional and pleasant. more

I just got back from my second annual from Azalea Gynecology and I must say they are just sooo nice there!! This is the only gyno I have been to, but everyone from the front desk, nurses, and dr.(Donna Bass) are so nice and helpful. They even give you a chocolate bar with their logo on it when you leave.. how can you beat that?? more

I know it isn't normal to love your gynecologist but this place is wonderful! Everyone was so nice to me! They made me feel like their VIP customer. LOL! I had no idea where to go and I saw these other two reviews...so I was like hell why not try it. I have been wanting to go somewhere new for 3 years and was scared I would go some place worse than where I was. I can honestly say I don't dread the thought of an upcoming gyno visit anymore! LOL! I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family and of course to you! :o) more

My first visit at Azalea Gynecology was AWESOME! Usually pap smears aren't a positive experience, but the NP at Azalea, Donna Bass was a riot! I got in the exam room and before I was undressed, she was in there telling me that I couldn't say they made me wait in the exam room naked for 20 minutes like other places do! During my exam she had me cracking up by telling me a story about how another patient had shot the speculum across the room and almost smacked her in the head! I can honestly say that I have never had so much fun at the gynecologist. I also had plenty of time and opportunity to ask questions and to air any concerns, and I got very thorough, clear answers and explanations. I will never use another women's health provider. more

First of all I apparently came on a day when they had lost someones file so things were hectic so they did not realize I had signed in right away but as soon as they realized I was there they were so helpful and friendly you knew they were doing there best. I like this business because it is all women treating women and they understand women. They really take there time while they treat you and I left feeling good about my health and my visit.
