Facial 1/6/2012

My facialist was late, called me the wrong name and was a little brusque when asking questions. The eyebrow tint was good, but my lashes seem a ittle light even though the tint is black. Doing the lash & brow before the facial seemed backward. She sort of argued with me about my loss of pigmentation and suggested my dermatologist hadn't done a proper job. The facial was okay, but the practice of putting powder on at the end seems counterintuitive. This was expensive and I am not sure if I would return. Certainly not for the same facialist. more

Customized facial with Jen 1/3/2012

I was very pleased to be able to get a last minute appointment for a facial. I had a new gal named Jen. She did a superb facial, I was very happy with the extra attention given to my body while waiting for certain creams to do their jobs. It was an overall excellent experience and she seemed extra knowledgable and interested in doing a good job. I would go back to her in a heartbeat. more

Loved everything about the experience. I'd be happier to tip more if the services weren't as expensive. The masseuse was incredibly wonderful, great skill, and helpful for muscle maintenance in between massage appointments. more

Mom's 81 b-day 12/31/2011

Thank you for a wonderful day at the spa. It made my mom's day very special, she needed to get out and have a girls day out and thanks to Jeniffer for making it all happen. Us girls Maria, Natalia, Suzanna and myself had a wonderful experience and we look forward to coming back real soon, actually we decided to do the spa for each one of our b-days so we will see you real soon. I was really looking forward to this massage, but I have to say I wasn't that impressed. The spa itself has a nice ambience, with a nice gift shop, fireplace and a comfortable area to wait for your service. Unfortunately, the massage room I was in was very small with only a curtain separating it from the next room. The massage was okay--not great. I paid for a therapeutic massage, which is more money than a swedish massage, but she didn't get in to the muscle area like I wanted her to . The nicest part was the 5 minute foot massage at the end and the mask that is put on your face when you roll over on your back. It blocks out the light and is soothing. It also smells nice. I'm still looking for a really good masseuse. This massage doesn't qualify. more

Wonderful customized facial... :-) 12/23/2011

This is my fourth visit to AvantGard, I once again had a customized facial with Michelle. She has such a calming way of working that I can really let go and completely relax. I recommend her very, very highly. I asked my husband for a gift card for Christmas so I hope to be back in Michelle's talented hands in the new year! more

even thought my appt. ran a bit later than scheduled (Wish I had received a call to let me know...but totally not a huge issue). Staff is always very nice - Matt was FANTASTIC...wish I could afford to come more / stay longer! more

what a wonderful find. I love that fact that it was a quiet retreat. No customers talking loudly on their cell phones or to each other. The mint pedicure was soothingly and the massage was delightful. Thanks to Zuki for such good care. more
