OK, so i needed a cut before going out of town and i went and got one from Susan, who goes by a popular nickname of Susan that citysearch wouldnt let me type. its the first time ive gotten a cut in a long time and the cut was good, though shorter than i'd like it to be. there was alot of sales pressure, including buying shampoo that i told her from the start was way out of my budget, getting color, which would be nice but i could barely afford the 65 dollar cut (i'm a student still). which wouldnt be so bad except she kept pushing. the other thing that made the experience less than excellent was the conversation. at one point she actually told me i should stop eating and starve myself to get skinny. i'm not obese, wear a size 10 and have curves, but hearing from a complete stranger to starve myself is just unappealing. i dont plan on going back. My stylist, Susan Hartwick, is amazing!! She has an eye for color and style. I let her make all the decisions and her work has transformed me!! Her personality is so warm and friendly. The entire experience is wonderful. The salon itself is great too. Laying down during the shampoo is a luxury. A morning here is a morning well-spent! Best haircut and color I've ever had!! Sue was amazing!!! Very warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The staff were also very warm, and friendly. It was the most pampering I've ever received when getting a haircut. Especially being able to lie down while getting your hair shampooed... it's pure heaven! I wish I had changed salons a long time ago. I paid less money and received a much better haircut, and service. Highly recommended!! Pros: Service, Price Cons: None more

Instead of straining your neck miserably over a cold sink while someone leans over you to scrub at your hair, imagine laying comfortably on a cushioned table being pampered with a scalp message to die for. Heaven right? Yes, it's called Apect Beauty. And the angel with the magic fingers is Amber - and I'm not exaggerating when I say she's a goddes-of-hair! For years I'd tried to find a hairstylest I could count on to do exactly what I asked for, and I've finally found her. Amber did just I wanted, only better! I can't say enough good things about Angelo! He's a superb hair stylist and a master with color. I highly recommend some of Aspect Beauty's other treatments as well...the facials are wonderful and my manicure was perfect. I haven't tried their massages yet, but that's next on my list! Enjoy! more

Just thought I would share my awesome experience that I had @ Aspect Beauty. I rec'd a gift card and I got to choose my package-very cool! I chose a Mineral facial and a massage. My facialist was Jasmine and let me tell you she is a walking encyclopedia on skin care and very sweet and has healing hands! She also noticed that my skin has been very dehydrated and red and pointed me in the right direction in terms of home care. She even made me little samples to take home to "try before I buy" and since she really seemed to care about my skin I am definately going to keep going back to her. I've gone to the same hair stylist in Marina Del Rey for 10 years and just recently went to Sue Hartwick at Aspect Beauty (tried the salon for proximity to home). Needless to say, I no longer need to drive 20 miles across town for a haircut. Sue is excellent, professional and literally cutting edge in her styling techniques. I've gone back several times and been equally pleased. I have no hesitation in recommending her, the only downside would be having to wait for an appointment in the future! She's awesome! more

Carmen did an excellent, efficient waxing job (not easy!), attentive to my sentivities, and then a week later, a soothing, relaxing, cleansing, pampering facial...products well explained, motivated me to take better care of my skin - she is obviously passionate about her profession and shows extra concern for the health and well being of her clients....thank you, Carmen !! more

I'm 17 and have suffered from acne for about 5 years. Acne is so embarrasing. After going to Aspect Beauty, my skin has really cleared up. It's amazing. The facialist put me on Medicalia, and my skin changed for the better right away. That stuff rocks! Also, the people there are very nice and they made me feel comfortable about being a boy going to a spa. I return every month, now that my skin has been normalized. I've had a lot of facials, but I've never had a facial quite like the one that I had recently at Aspect Beauty by an estetician named Carmen. Not only was it a therapeutic experience, it was also the most relaxing facial that I've ever had. When I left there, my skin had never felt so smooth. I really felt like I had a glow. In fact, that same evening, my best friend of twenty years commented on my skin and said that she's never seen it look so good. I will definitely be back for another facial sometime soon! I visited Aspect beauty for a magical spa manicure and pedi. I did not receive the scrub on my hands, what I did receive was the manicurist telling me how bad my skin was and that I needed a facial. If your looking to sit back and relax while you have your pedi, be prepared not to sit back. This spa does not have the traditional chairs with tubs. They have a stool and if you relax your legs you will push the stool with the manicurist on it away from you. When I mentioned the missing scrub on my hands up front, I was told that I would receive 10 dollars off my next visit. I won't be visiting again, not for 75 dollars. Not only was I very impressed with the amazing facial I had, I was also impressed with the salon itself. The decor is beautiful. It makes you feel like you've entered a place that prides itself on how it makes you feel as a customer. The attention to detail can't be missed. My facial was excellent. Melissa has really good hands and I was so relaxed after. My skin has never looked so good. I liked the products that were avaliable for purchase. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly.
