WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS BIZ? STAY AWAY, WASTE OF MONEY! 2/19/2009

My family has used this florist for 25+ years, but won't any more. We've used them for funerals, weddings, and holidays. Twice this past year, once for my grandmother's funeral, and once for a birthday, we were not happy at all. When you're spending $700ish for your grandmother and mother displays it hardly helps you get through that tough time - - who has the energy to complain? But when the birthday arrangement for my mom was nearly 1/2 the size, and didn't contain the number of roses it should have (uh, called in the order directly!)...well, let's just say I didn't get what I paid for and it wasn't cheap: $100+. Then, after they've gotten your money try to get someone to listen to your complaint. There are plenty of florists in the Jackson area that I can try, someone must care about return business....they certainly don't! Pros: NONE!! Cons: NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, DON'T DELIVER WHAT YOU ORDER, RIP OFF more

Rip Off, Inaccurate/Poor Designs, Horrible Customer Service, Ad Misrepresentations 2/5/2009

I COULD HAVE GOTTEN A BETTER ARRANGEMENT AT A GROCERY STORE & SPENT LESS THAN 1/2. I selected a specific centerpiece from their website, nowhere did it say ""subject to availability, substitutions may occur."" The description called for a specific container of specific size...a long wooden box, I got a very small Easter-like basket!...for a Christmas display! The CENTERPIECE WAS NOT a centerpiece, it was one-sided! Itook it off the table as soon as I arrived at my parent's home, IT WAS EMBARRASSING! Flowers were in poor condition, squished into the small containter, and wilted: orchids, roses and tulips (Easter flowers?not in the description online!) and, roses were mini vs. full size and only 2. I called the florist the next business day - day after Christmas - and told the only person that could handle my complaint was the owner, Al. He wasn't in, but he'd call me the next day....he didn't. I called for 9 days in a row, sometimes 2x's a day, he was never there, his staff woulnd't/couldn't pass along messages to him, nor would any of the staff know when he'd be in as they said he ""doesn't keep regular hours""...neither does the store: some days closed (no one would answer) at 1pm, sometimes at 4pm, and their answering machine doesn't give hours...so how do you know when to call them? It wasn't until I filed a better business burea complaint that Al finally called me, it took him 2 more weeks to issue me a refund (nearly a month later). He wrote a nasty note back to the better bus. burea accusing me of ""enjoying the flowers over the holidays & being clever to ask for a refund afterward"".....the flowers were delivered on Christmas eve, and I saw them for the first time Christmas day, and called the next day! Had he delievered what was advertised in the fist place, he wouldn't have a problem, and he would have seen continued business from me. Unhelpful, poor customer service, poor quality, and overpriced 8/6/2008

I went in to purchase flowers for the altar at my daughter's Christening. After giving details of what I wanted, and giving options of what could be done to keep it within budget (I was trying give as much leeway to the designer as possible, since size did matter), I was told to come and pick up the arrangements on Saturday afternoon since they were not open on Sunday (really?? A FLORIST??) and would not deliver to my church. On picking up my arrangements, I was SADLY disappointed. For $80, I got 8 roses, 2 lilies, and 4 snapdragons with a bunch of greenery (this was in midsummer, using flowers that are in season). The arrangements were half the size of what was originally discussed, and when I politely expressed my dissatisfaction, the clerk told me that the flowers I had requested were $5/flower (!!!!) and that was why the arrangements were so small. When bare spots in the arrangement were pointed out, the clerk pretended not to see, and tried to get out of fixing them by being borderline surly. Finally, she stuck one more frond of Snapdragons in just to get me out of the store. If I had not already paid in full, I would have walked out. At no point was there any attempt made to make me happy, no call to the manager to see if they could do anything to make this right. These were going to be at the front of a church for a service, and then moved to a reception afterwards, and viewed by a lot of local people. PS> The flowers died within three days. Nothing would induce me to use this florist again, or to recommend them to anyone. I would have been better off getting them at the grocery store next door.
