this is a very large furniture store located on the south edge of anamosa going out of town. it has the largest selection of nice furniture and accessories of anywhere around here. they seem to carry a lot of name brand items as well a good stock of more reasonably priced items so this is a good place to stop for most people when considering a new furniture purchase. more

I would not recommend The Anamosa Furniture Mart if you are in the market for new furniture. Although we had a really good experience with them a few years ago, a recent experience with them was so bad that I will never shop there again. Delivery and set up is included in your purchase price. However, when the bedroom set that we ordered turned out to be complicated than expected, the delivery guys complained the whole time and were quite rude. To make matters worse, they didn’t read the directions that came with the furniture and set it up incorrectly and damaged some of the brackets used to hold up the hutch on the desk. When I called them about it, they didn’t acknowledge that they had done anything wrong. In the end my husband had to spend a Saturday afternoon taking the set apart and putting it together correctly. This included a trip to the hardware store to replace the “extra” screws the delivery guys took with. more

I did purchase a sofa at the Anamosa Furniture Mart. I am not impressed. It is of lower quality. Prices are cheaper but you get what you pay for. They do offer free delivery and set up for the furniture. Unfortunately the delivery guys are not the best. My friend ordered a bedroom set for her son and had it delivered. They put it together wrong. Her husband had to spend Saturday morning reassembling it. In my opinion, they are better places to buy furniture. more
