Amici's Combo pizza, no olives but add roasted garlic, is my favorite pizza here, though I have many favorites here. All are wood fired, thin crust; vegan and gluten free available, too. Their cheese ravioli with pesto, or pesto and clams, is out of this world. Their pasta with eggplant is GREAT, but ask them to make sure it is super cooked through. Caesar salad dressing is outstanding, and you can buy extra for home use. Service at restaurant is very friendly and attentive. Cheesecake is excellent but tuxedo cake is sometimes dry. Delivery is very, very fast, but if you want (free) parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes, be sure to ask when you order! more

Nice Pizza 10/10/2010

Erica and I went to Amici's to meet with our long time favorite Colombian friend Camilo Garcia. It was a simple, cheap and fast meal that worked for everyone, especially Camilo since it is across the street from EA. more

You can never go wrong with pizza! 3/24/2010

Besides having thin crust pizza which is my favorite, here are the standouts for Amici's: more

Amici's East Coast Pizzeria is awesome! 10/24/2009

I have to agree that Amici's is probably one of the best places for pizza in San Mateo. Sure there is Round Table and some others, but Amici's has a unique taste and the crust is super tasty. I in particular like their white clam topping pizza which I never thought I'd like prior to eating it for the first time!!! more

Hot fresh pizza and more 2/23/2009

Our family enjoys Amici's on a regular basis. The staff is polite and efficient. The food arrives piping hot and is delicious. The salads are very good and big enough to share. it is a little expensive compared to other pizza though. Pros: Good food and service. Not your regular pizza parlor. Cons: Very expensive for pizza. Salads are better value--pizza portions are small. Plan on $50 for family of four. more

Great Pizza 1/28/2009

Amici's has the best pizza! They also have very good pasta and salads. I like coming to the restaurant to eat but have also used their delivery service. The place is clean and the staff is wonderful. Cant beat it! more

Very good pizza, great service 2/12/2007

I've done both pick-up as well as delivery from this Amici's and both options are great. When ordering from their website, you always get a call to confirm. They take special requests, such as for vegan options, and do a great job on large orders -- making sure everything stays hot. An office favorite is their Philly which has sausage and green peppers. The Margherita (with fresh basil) is also really good. more

Great pizzas in the area 11/17/2006

Went there with my coworkers on Friday and the pizzas are great. We had about 10 people so tried many different variety of pizzas, they are all very good. Nice clean pizzeria with great service. Highly recommended. more

I love pizza!! 9/27/2006

I love pizza and sometimes it is hard to find an outstanding pizza place. But I finally found my favorite. I recommend that everyone goes. It is wonderful. They treat their customers great and that is the main reason I keep coming back. They have a big variety and my kids love it. more

One of my favorites... and they deliver to Belmont! 8/10/2006

Amicis has fast become our family favorite. NY style pizza with flare. Great combinations, pasta, salads, etc. My favorite thing about them is that they deliver to our house in Belmont. While Belmont has many pizza places to choose from, I grade this as one of the top two spots. more

My Favorite Pizza 7/26/2006

This is a wonderful place to go for lunch. The east coast, thin crust pizza is fantastic. The zesty honey mustard salad dressing, which they put on their house salad, is the perfect complement to your pizza. more

Rockin the Pizza World 5/24/2006

I am a pizza expert. I've had them the world over and this is in the top 3. Crust is the perfect density of thick and thin. Great taste all by itself. They "dark bake" the pizzas in the now common wood fired oven, so this gets the crust real crisp and the toppings nicely browned. Many places have these super hot ovens and they cook the pizza so fast, the toppings and crust are not properly done. Another reason they're the best here is the pepperoni. They are small little thick cut spicy guys. They curl up with a puddle of grease and a crisp edge. I never said it was healthy! All the toppings are of equal high quality which all helps make this a winner. All of the food is decent, but dont waste your time. Do the pizza. You will be back... Pros: Best Pizza, Best Pepperoni Cons: can have a long wait more

Last in the list of edible pizza 5/23/2006

This pizza is thinner than a quesadilla. I have eaten here severeal times for work events. Every pizza I have ever had here is overcooked, too thin, and way too greasy. There are so many better pizza places around town that I don't understand why this one is so popular but I wouldn't spend my own money here. The lights are so bright and the interior is too sterile feeling for me. Generic at best. Cons: bright more

Best pizza around 5/4/2006

We moved away from redwood shores but still make regular trips back for Amici's pizza! The 'greek isle' pizza is my favorite, it's a white pizza (no tomato sauce) with lots of cheese and vege toppings. The crust is perfect - thin, but still with a lightly puffy crust done in proper ovens. Surroundings are basic, but clean. Service is good. (One flaw - why do I have to give out my phone number when I'm ordering take-out in person?!? Hate that!) Pros: Great pizza!, umm, great pizza!, yeah, great pizza! Cons: location more

Awful Pizza!!! There not much there! Grade: F 3/21/2006

Amici's makes the worst pizza I've ever had! I've been to Amici's restaurants 3 times and had it several times in meetings. Pros: None Cons: No sauce, Hardly any toppings, too thin more

Missing NY Pizza? 6/24/2005

No Chicago-style pizza for me, thanks. I miss that thin crust pizza I had in New York, and Amici's has the closest thing this side of the Mississippi. Absolutely delicious. I recommend this location over the San Mateo location due to parking issues and crowding. However, the pizza is incredible in any Bay Area location. more
