Allen & Son Appliance Repair

My dishwasher broke down about a week ago and I contacted several of the highest-rated repair companies on the web to get it serviced. Because our dishwasher is Asko (a brand which is rare in the U.S. and, therefore, is difficult to fix), we were glad to find Allen and Sons Appliance Repair willing to check it out. I called them and they immediately sent a guy over for a service call. When I asked about the pricing, their service call fee turned out to be the cheapest ($30) and they were kind enough to provide me with a discount to our labor charge. Later during the day, Sean stopped by to check out the dishwasher and was quick to find the problem. He said that he would take the part that had sparked out, find a replacement, and return the next day to replace it. Upon the next day, he quickly replaced the sparked-out piece. And although he discovered that the motor of the dishwasher was broken, was kind enough to charge us a good rate for the service. Overall, I say that their service is pretty quick and easy to work with. And with the rarity of a European-brand repair company (such as my Asko), they're one in a million (or however many there are in Los Angeles). more

Well lets put it this way, I called 3 companies and I did not pick Allen And Sons first. I purchased my Samsung refrigerator from Lowes in Jun of 2010. The first company that came out (will remain nameless) charged me $65 for an estimate on a timer which was over $200 and told me my unit was under warranty and they cannot service it (which I did not realize, but I am still upset I had to pay for that piece of information). I called Samsung directly this time and they said there is only one service company authorized to work on their units and it was Allen and Sons. The tech I think Dan came out on time the same day very polite and explained in detail what was the issue.He had the part in stock. It was not even the timer. An hour later I had my fridge running. Best part (no pun intended) was that it did not cost me a penny, since all was covered under warranty. more

We had two appliances that broke at the same time, a dishwasher and a microwave. They came over to assess these and order the appropriate parts. Once the parts arrived, they came back to do the repairs, but were only able to repair one of the appliances, stating they ordered the wrong part for the other appliance. One week went by and they returned to fix the second appliance. They failed to reassemble the microwave back together completely, and then when they asked for payment they tried to raise the price from what was originally quoted.
