I recently purchased four Goodyear Assurance® All-Season tires from Alexandria Tire Center, in Northern Kentucky. Without question, this has been the worst customer service experience in my lifetime, regardless of the product or service.\r \r On Tuesday, 7/21, I agreed to have the tires installed with an alignment included in the price. I elected to wait during this installation. Two and a half hours later I was informed that a bolt had broken for the rear alignment. I was told I would be contacted as soon as repairs could be made.\r \r On Wednesday 7/22, I was informed that a "Left Rear Carrier" was damaged during the installation process and would require replacement.\r \r On Thursday 7/23, I was informed that the "Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor" was damaged during the installation process and would require replacement.\r \r On Friday 7/24, I was informed that I owed a total of $293.47 over my tire purchase price. I recently purchased four Goodyear Assurance? All-Season tires from Alexandria Tire Center, in Northern Kentucky. I was told I would be contacted as soon as repairs could be made.\r \r On Wednesday 7/22, I was informed that a ""Left Rear Carrier"" was damaged during the installation process and would require replacement.\r \r On Thursday 7/23, I was informed that the ""Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor"" was damaged during the installation process and would require replacement.\r \r On Friday 7/24, I was informed that I owed a total of $293.47 over my tire purchase price. The ""new"" figure included the tires, installation and parts necessary to repair the damage done to my vehicle.\r \r Interestingly, these broken parts and ""necessary"" mystery repairs happened right after my Goodyear Credit Card application was approved with a robust balance. Perhaps the owner and his associates decided I could afford more. This series of events smacks of fraudulent activity.\r \r I refused to pay the amount that included the unauthorized repairs, agreeing to pay ONLY the originally agreed upon $515. The Service Advisor, stated that I would have to wait till Monday 7/27, as no member of ownership was present. Oddly, I had just passed the owner at the front desk assisting another customer.\r \r I addressed the issue with store owner, who has a dismissive and indifferent attitude toward his customers. I was escorted outside, with the Service Advisor, to have a consultation at a parking lot picnic table. I then wasted a half an hour of my time explaining what had occurred. I was treated in a most disrespectful manner, nearly as if on trial.\r The owner stated that I would have to wait till Monday to discuss the issue with his sister and partner, as she had ""heard"" the conversation that I had with the Service Advisor via telephone. \r \r He refused to release my vehicle unless I paid in full. He refused to accept the originally agreed upon payment for tires and installation. Effectively, my vehicle was held hostage and I was coerced into making an extortion payment, under duress to gain access to my property.\r \r This location and these owners are unscrupulous at best and thieves at worst. Since the original owner has passed, this Brother and Sister ownership ""team"" clearly value profits, price gouging and predatory retail practices over ANY form of basic customer service. They have lost many good mechanics, some who had worked years for them, due to these practices. I had heard the rumors, and frankly didn't think it could be that bad. It's worse.\r \r Surely the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company values its customers and reputation more than allowing shysters like Alexandria Tire Center to sully their hard earned, good name. There are far too many consumer options available to allow this egregious conduct to continue.\r Thank you for reading. If you never patronize this business, count yourself lucky. more
