Dramatic Atmosphere in Bricktown 12/30/2006

Abuelo's is one of the restaurant anchors in Bricktown. Food is not just your usual Tex-Mex. Many interesting options dot the relatively reasonably priced menu. The setting is quite dramatic, with soaring ceilings and a large central fountain. Pros: Ambience, fresh food, Cons: Their parking lot is sometimes full. more

    The decor is the star attraction with colonial-style architecture, vibrant murals of Mexican life, and stone statuary resembling a wealthy landowner's rural hacienda. Entrees include Tex-Mex staples--enchiladas and fajita tacos--with a few surprises such as bacon-wrapped beef tenderloin and grilled mahi mahi.
