My family and I have been going to Dr. Kato for over 20 years. He has a very efficiently organized practice, and the dental hygienists assisting him have always been very good. He is professional (not aloof, not chatty), asks the right questions, listens to your concerns, explains anything you want more details on, and he has the best technical skills of any dentist I have ever visited. Importantly, he does only what needs to be done, and he doesn't insist that X-rays get taken with every 6 month visit. Once or twice he has had me hold off on getting something done ("Let's see if that tooth settles down before we try to do anything more."...and he was right). Another time my daughter was away at college and having a tooth-jaw issue and she was too far away to come home, so he did a free phone consultation with her and helped her figure out how to deal with it. If you want an ethical and highly competent dentist, he's the one.
