If you like flowers or are looking for a peaceful way to spend the day, go to Shaw's Garden (MO Botanical Gardens) and just bask in the beauty of the flowers in bloom.
There are several areas in this huge flower park built on the estate of Henry Shaw. The Climatron is a geodome that houses many hothouse and warmer weather tropical type plants.
There is a Japanese garden area where both bonsai and Koi fish are plentiful.
The tulips in the spring are the crowning glory of the gardens.
If you like regular garden type flowers, there are plenty of Petunia's, Pansies and Zinnia's to make you happy.
