and you aren't on the Upper East Side, then you're probably perousing the wares at Olde Hudson, a 'boutique' food shop with locations in Rhinebeck and Hudson, New York.
The Rhinebeck location, with which I am more familiar, is not so much a store as a reflection of one man's passion for fine cheese, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. If you like something one week, the owner won't have it the next, but he'll have something you'll like just as much.
This is a place for serious foodies and cheese-lovers in particular, specifically lovers of the hard and medium-hard Mediterranean varieties.
