Review content:
I went to Kayi several times because the location is very convenient to my job. This time I went and was very disappointed and will never go there again!! I had gotten a pedicure on Thursday to go to a wedding on Saturday. I noticed that the nail tech was rinsing the tools she was using in my foot bath. Also, when she was pushing my cuticles back, she slipped and made me bleed. She assured me it would be okay. I went to work the next day and when I came home, I noticed a huge big white blister on the toe that she had cut open. It became very painful and I also got a red line going up my foot, I had to goto urgent visit (since it was Saturday) Turns out I had a staph infection, which the doctor told me was caused by using dirty tools!!! I had to get IV meds because the infection had already entered my lymphatic system!!!! Well I went there Monday, when I went back into the city to goto work and tried to explain what happened. First off, they told me no manager was there to speak to. Second, the woman I spoke to, which was a nail tech, didn't seem to completely understand due to a language barrier. Thirdly, she only offered me a gift certificate to come back for $ 35.00!!!!! I spent over $200 for the doctor visit and antibiotics and she wouldn't even give me a refund!!!! I will never go there again, and I cannot believe they didn't take my incident more seriously. I highly recommend being cautious when going to Kayi for pedicures and paying attention if they are using sanitized tools. That ruined my whole weekend and cost me big bucks for a $30 pedicure!!!! If there is any manager I can speak to, please contact me!!
