I always liked Ramenya until today December 1st, 2007. We all finished our final from UCLA and went to this restaurant at 1:20pm. We are 10 people and ha've been appromiately waited for 20 minutes outside the restaurant as usual. We found out that they started sitting many 2 or 3 people groups who came after us. One of my classmates start questioning this Japanese young lady if we can sit different tables and in order to save time, since they do not have any table bigger than 4 people, so we do not have to sit and eat exactly the same time. She starts getting excited and told us that they do not have space for 10 people. She was trying to do her way and put all of us sit at the same location inside the restuarant, so we have to wait all 2 or 3 tables empty to sit us. She can not push customers away and blabla. I thought it was miscommunication and I have just recommended this restaurant to entire my class, so I was trying to explain to her that we really do not have to eat the same time and some people are starving and rush to go. She started screaming at us to go to somewhere else. Their service never been great and often give me wrong bill or dish, but this is the worst time in my life in Los Angeles. She immediately talked to an older lady and a Japanese guy all in Japanes, and all three went out the door told us to go somewhere else or wait until all the customer left when they eventually have space for 10 people. She told me classmate that he is being harassing her and it is no poin to talk to him anymore. Can you believe that? I decided not to go with the group and talked to her that we can understand each other. She told me that I am being rude and our group has blamed on her service. Does she really know what does SERVICE mean? This restaurant needs to put a big sign about not dine with large group more than 5 without being rude or embarssing more customers. Pros: Thumbs down, horrible service and attitude Cons: Need to put a sign about refuse to dine with a large group
