On our last night in Branson, even though we were stuffed to the gills from lunch, my husband, his parents, and I went to Shorty Smalls at Branson Landing. My husband and his family used to live in Branson and remembered Shorty's as having some "darn good bar-b-que." We had a nice waitress who gave us the choice of sitting outside on the water. The gnats were bad so we opted for a window-view of Lake Taneycomo. We all had the Onion Loaf (free with coupon found in one of the travel guides.) My mother-in-law had a big bowl of marinara, ziti, and cheese with a side of garlic bread. She loved it but was just too full to eat much. I had the chicken tenders, hand-breaded, with fries. They were great. It wasn't creamy and had lots of tanginess. My father-in-law and husband had the ribs. I took one bite and wished I had gotten them instead. They were fall-off-the bone tender and full of flavor.I would recommend Shorty Smalls at Branson Landing for good food and a pleasant atmosphere. But GO WITH THE RIBS!
