I had read a lot of reviews of this place and had stayed here about 2 years ago so I kind of knew what to expect. The gripes about the elevator are warranted. Whoever decided to build a 7 story hotel with that many rooms and only put one elevator in there was nuts. I suggest (especially in the morning) walking the steps down. I was in town for the marathon and didn't want to shoot my legs walking up 6 flights of stairs a couple times a day so I did a lot of waiting on the elevator. The room was clean and comfortable. My girlfriend and I slept very well on the sleep number bed. The king room we were in was kind of small but it served its purpose for the two of us. Bathroom was small, lights didn't work properly, nor did the fan so that was a nuisance but nothing Earthshattering. The restaurant and bar in the hotel are great. The bar had a cheesy live band with all the typical lounge "lizards" hanging out. I laughed my head off when I went in there to have a beer. Staff was nice. Food in the Landing restaurant is outstanding. I've eaten there twice now and both times loved it. Again, great staff. I was in town for a marathon and this hotel was perfect for our location needs. Close to a couple of great restaurants (we at brunch at The Red Jet...FANTASTIC...and dinner at Vitales on Leonard....FANTASTIC....neither place has good service, but the food was amazing) and I was able to get out and do some running near the river the day before the race. Safe, clean area. Overal a positive stay.
