We have enjoyed Honda vehicles for about 30 years. However, my recent experience with Sims Honda left me baffled, shocked actually. After a careless driver rear-ended my beautiful Accura & it was totaled, I decided to lease a Civic. Unfortunately I have a foreclosure on my credit report--buying that condo was the ONLY one mistake I've made in managing my finances. Have ALWAYS paid all my bills in full & on time. What shocked me was when my son [a VP at Hewlett Packard with a great credit history] applied to co-sign, Sims Honda still denied the lease! The lease was for a measly $200/month for 36 months! I have a great job & making the payments would NOT have an issue at all! Sims wanted proof that I no longer owned the foreclosed property in Florida. Apparently it was not enough proof that here we are in WA for the past year, thousands of miles away from FL. This experience has definitely left a VERY sour taste for Honda. I wonder how Sims earned the President Award for customer service so many times. Is this the best Honda can offer nationwide ?
