Review content:
We had a clogged kitchen drain. Tried 1 bottle of Liquid Plumr to no avail.
We called Roto Rooter. I asked what their rates were and was told it was by the job and they couldn't tell me over the phone but that they guy would visit and give a free estimate.
I took off work ($$), the guy arrived within the 2 hour window they make you wait. He said their MINIMUM was $265 even if it took 15 minutes. I said "yikes! $265!!!" He said he might be there an hour and a half. (really?) My wife said "just get it done, I want my kitchen back" (this is what they are counting on with their "no over the phone" quotes).
He ran his snake out, it pushed our clog as one would expect. The drain ran clear. It took about 20 minutes.
With tax the bill came to $300. That will buy A LOT of Liquid Plumr. Like 50 bottles.
The guy was nice enough, but afterward I felt dumb for having said yes, and duped into paying $300 for a little kitchen clog, and furious that they actually do have a minimum, but wouldn't say so over the phone....seems sleazy.
I will not use them again.
