I stumbled onto this salon by accident. I was doing some errands when I realized that I need to have my hair cut, and my eyebrows waxed. In an hidden nook among small offices, the Studio Hair Design stands nearly unnoticed, save for a sign.
Now, I have went to various salons, only to be disappointed with the cut or the unavailability of the stylist. When I went in, I was lucky to meet Kathy. She did a great job on my hair and shaped my brows just so. And the kicker was that she charged $16 for my haircut. This was better than my prior experience with a $45 cut at a certain salon.
Kathy was also there to fix my hair when I went to another salon for highlighting, where my hair was over bleached. (I know, I know, but Kathy was not available on short notice and I have to go to another salon in New Haven. Bad mistake!) She fixed my hair and gave me good advice about highlighting. Yay!
They carry Redken, Paul Mitchell, and OPI nail products.
