Have been a Companion customer for over 15 yrs. In the last couple yrs this one in Hillsboro seems to have changed. They tried charging me for services I didn't need several times. The last straw was when they way over charged me for the euthanasia of our cat. Afterward I questioned the price and I was told by one of the receptionists that I should have asked the price before having my cat put down. That way I could have walked out with my dying cat in my arms if I thought the price was too high. It took 6 phone calls over the course of 2 weeks to finally get a call back from the vet who did the service. It turned out he is the owner and he told me he can charge anything he wants. I called around and found that the most expensive place in town was $40 less than them for the exact same service. That was at a place who had never seen my cat and they said it would be $35 less if they had history with the cat. I took my records from Companion and have switched to another vet. Will never go there again.
