My husband's Jeep Cherokee was having a problem with the brake system. All of a sudden while driving , he went to slow down to turn and the brake pedal would not go down with using both his feet and every bit of strength he could muster. We called a few local places and were being told basically the same thing was wrong with it..the power booster, but nobody could get us in for at least a week. Then we called Monro..great guys here! They could get it in immediately, told us who to call for a tow and looked at it the first day they had it. They were also very honest in telling us that it did sound like the booster, but it could be something far less expensive or far more expensive. They checked it all out and came to find out that it was something more expensive and they were not equipped to handle that kind of repair. They told us we needed to take it to a dealer because they would be the only ones who could fix it. They then called ahead to the nearest dealer and to let them know we would be towing it over there. The best part ...NO CHARGE!! We did have to pay for the tow to the shop in the first place , but there was no charge for anything else. They do free estimates and actually LOOK at the vehicle and find out what is wrong and exactly what will have to be fixed before diagnosing and quoting a price. Friendly, eager to help out and honest . GREAT shop , will definitely be taking my vehicle in to them in the future.
