Review content:
This was our third time there, and has always been a treat. We like to take walks on the board walk, watch the boats and eat at this waterfront restaurant. They specialize in seafood, but have various Steaks and Chicken as well for the land lovers. They have a pretty unique menu, with items like Pecan Encrusted Tilapia and Handmade Lobster Ravioli, all good fromprevious experiences.
Last night we went there, it was a bit cloudy out and rained earlier in the day, so we were able to get a table right away with no wait. I had the "Famous Captree Cove Crab Cake" for an appertizer, definetly comparable to my favorite Ruth's Chris Crab Cake, my lady had the Top-Neck Baked Clams - which I wish we had two orders of, I think I ate half of her order. For dinner, I had the Shrimp Scampi, pretty fresh and a good sauce, and she had the special of the day "Asian Skirt Steak" which for a fish house, I was pretty impressed with the steak, we didnt have high expectations getting steak at a fish place, but it ended up being much better then expected and large portions -that should be a permanent addition to the menu. We didn't have desert, but I recall the desert menu being long. The drinks from the Bar were also Stiff and reasonably priced. I liked the selection of locally brewed beer too (BluePointe).
All in all, its a great place to eat, by far the differentiator of this restaurant versus any other is the breathe taking views of the Bay, Boardwalk and Fishing Boats! Great place for a date or a romantic walk on the beach/boardwalk at sunset or sunrise!
I would highly recommend this place. I noticed they have a website now, www.captreecoverestaurant.cm
Pros: Breathe Taking Views, Great Seafood and Apps!!!
Cons: Seasonal Restaurant
