Review content:
I dined at Landry's a decade ago & was disappointed then. But I had a penchant for oysters the other day and thought to give it another try. Should have squelched that impulse!
The oysters, which on query were not Gulf, but Blue Points (and thus 4$ more a dozen), were miniscule and the price...18$ for the whole dozen. We needed to squint to see them on the shell, they were so tiny!
We waited over a half hour for our complimentary bread, all the while picking at seafood sauce from the oyster tray, as no food appeared (inc. the bread). When the food came out, soup arrived with it, all together. The gumbo soup was overloaded with rice so that it was more of a muddy rice dish than a soup. Management was courteous in taking it back.
There was one waitress during the lunch hour and she was apologetic. The entrees were just OK, and we did not stay for desert, having run out of time during the precious lunch hour waiting for the food to arrive.
Perhaps in another decade I will have forgotten this dismal dining and be ready to experience it all over again.
I hope not.
Pros: Comfortable booths, free soda refills
Cons: Long wait for food, portions small
