Review content:
I was attracted to this company's http://CertifiedMovers.net with no hidden costs, and the woman who came to my apartment to give me a price was efficient and seemingly knowledgeable. I paid extra for artwork and fragile items to be "crated", and expected my things would be treated with care. Instead, large artwork and glass items were not wrapped at all, and as a result, several things were broken in my move. The worst thing that happened though was the loss of my 8' tall fig tree, which I had nurtured since it was small and was attached to. It must have been left on the street when the moving van departed, as it was not to be found either in my new building or my old one. I found customer service at Flat Rate very disinterested, to put it mildly, in the loss of my items. In fact, they were downright hostile. Ultimately, I was given 60 cents per pound for my things, which amounted to less than half of the tip I gave the men (given before I realized the breakage or missing plant, of course).
