I went to Havana this weekend with 10 of my friends, for me it was my first time. I had heard good things about the place so I decided me n the girls and a couple of guyz should go hang out. The setup was great, good music and all. Problem comes in when buying a drink. 1st if you are using debit or credit card, you have to purchase drinks worth $20 or more, this is a drag especially if you arent a heavy drinker or just want something like water. The other negative experience we had was with bartender Jason Cole, would charge us different prices for the same drink every time we ordered another round. I was drinking a long Island and my friend a cosmo....first time Jason charged us $26, 2nd round after 30min he charged us $21, the 3rd time I decided to use cash....i bought a long Island and I was charged $8, 45 mins later $10, 30mins later $13. this raised a red flag about the random price hikes. On my last purchase just before Last call I used my card and was charged $30 for 2 long Islands.the check he gave me only had the total price, so i signed it and decided to question Jason about the random price hikes. So told him to print out a receipt stating the item and price of a long Island, he decline, I was persistent, but threatened to call security if I didnt drop it. I knew he was thieving from us by the look on his face he knew he was busted. the next thing is what shocked me....he took the check I had signed , refused to serve us the drinks we just paid for and called security who kicked us out because we werent going to let it go. All in all I believe either Havana is a den of thieves or just that one bartender, Jason Cole is out to rip you off
