Review content:
Serendipity is frequented by many celebrities and it has been featured in the romantic comedy 'Serendipity' with John Cusack. The restaurant is funky with colorful decorations. Reservations are usually needed. Prices are fairly high, but no that absurd compared to other places in NYC. You can also go there if you only want a dessert, their specialty.
This place is fantastic. It's kitschy and cute and everybody likes it, no matter what age you are. While the items off the main menu are delicious. It has a very casual yet hip and classy atmosphere, particularly the top floor. The top floor is more reserved and quiet, as well as spacious. The waiters are fantastic. They all have a sense of humor and are very, very helpful. Leave a big tip!
I would say that the Fruit Crepes for dessert are best. The item that everybody talks about and is supposedly this restaurant's 'specialty' however, is the Frozen Hot Chocolate. That is delicious as well, but personally I am not a great chocolate lover and this thing is exactly what the name is, a huge dose of iced chocolate topped with whipped cream. They also have fairly good hamburgers and hotdogs but one really goes for the dessert.
Serendipity 3! Yum Yum!!! It's like a fantasy land.....toys, ice cream, unique decor....
