Let me first state that we've rented from them for two years and we were NEVER late on a rental payment nor did we request any unrealistic repairs done on the property. So we do not consider ourselves to be picky or bad tenants: just realistic renters. However, we have abruptly learned that good tenants mean absolutely NOTHING to Solano Property Management. After we purchased our first home, we gave them the proper 30-day notice and completed everything on the list of "moving out" requirements.. When we questioned why we had not received our security deposit after the state-mandated law of 21 days, we received rude and very unprofessional responses from their office staff and even the office manager. The amount we were told that we would eventually received was very different than the one we actually received. When we inquired about the blatant disregard for California Renter's Rights laws, their response was unsatisfactory and unreasonable. They also thought it was reasonable to charge us an extra $300 for landscaping which included mowing the yard again--some 26 days after we moved out--and replacing three sprinkler valves. Perhaps they're used to dealing with people who do not know what their rights are...so if you're a stupid person, this is your company to rent from or have manage your property!
