Review content:
Terrible workmanship from welding to painting. I incurred $7,000 in repair costs for a new Schodorf chip box installed on my vehicle in Ohio and driven back to Seattle. The welds lacked fusion and were rough and pitted (an inspection report by Otto Rosenau & Assocs.--which I paid for--confirms this). Tool boxes had bent faces and cracked framework. There was rust covering the frame and coming from the pitted welds and hinges. Paint was not undercoated and it slumped in many places. Upon accessing ladders, the paint simply peeled from the surfaces. Moreover, the PTO was supposed to be an automatic type, yet they installed a cheap manual one. The owner, Paul Schodorf, believes this is acceptable workmanship since the box is an industrial piece of equipment. Check photographs at http://www.flickr.com/photos/49944177@N06/
We still need to have an automatic PTO installed (for $2,000), and we were without our truck for 3 months. Mr. Schodorf has certainly gone a long way towards ruining the reputation of his great-grandfather's company with his lack of ownership toward these serious problems.
We are currently seeking help from the Better Business Bureau and the Ohio State Attorney General's office to seek full recompense for all expenses incurred due to Schodorf's shoddy work.
