Review content:
I never would have thought of taking a toddler to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens but hesitantly agreed to go with my friend and her son. I bought my membership as we left. There were various 'types' of gardens to walk through and the plants were clearly identified which was nice for me. The indoor gardens are amazing with 'poisonous' frogs (I was assured they're only poisonous in the wild) and little birds afoot. There also is a wonderful children's garden where the kids are encouraged to touch the flowers. The children's garden also has a little area where plastic flowers shower them with water. Great for the summer when you can bring a bathing suit and let junior frolic.
The cafe is the only negative I have. Nothing impressive food. VERY overpriced and the service is slow and grouchy. Pack your own picnic lunch and just buy a cold drink or ice cream.
