I would describe the restaurant as "upscale cozy". The decore is very simple and casual, complete with a real "guys" bar at one end with a large screen tv. The crisp white table clothes are even topped with brown craft paper. On the other had, the place has a real upscale feel. The candlight and excellent service make it a great romantic spot. Although it was a little noisy on the saturday night when we went. The food worked well with the atmosphere and vis versa. I am not a big fan of classic american food ( I prefer spicy ethnic cuisine) but I loved everything I had here. I had the mac and cheese as an appetizer. It is delicious but very rich. The sea bass is the best I have ever tasted. Crispy, buttery and sweet on the outside and moist on the inside. The sea bass came with couscous and broccoli. The couscous was delicious but I barely had any because combined with the seabass it was all too rich and filling. My boyfriend had the lamb chops. He said they were tasty but very small so he was left hungry. My friend had the chop-chop salad and it looked like really healthy yet filling salad (it wasn't just lettuce). I had the apple turnover cinnamon gelato for dessert. The gelato was delicious. The pastry part of the turnover was delicious but the apple part okay. a few cons: In general the food is amazingly delicious but it is also very rich so I do not recommend it if you are on a diet. We went there on a saturday night at around 9pm. It was pretty busy but we got seated fairly quickly without reservations. However, they had run out of several items on the menu. pro: the chef was on the floor, personally serving dishes and talking to patrons. It is worth the trek to the west side. I will most likely go back. Pros: delicious food, great service, "upscale/casual/cozy" atmosphere Cons: not good for dieters, they ran out of several items on the menu
