Lamonica's New York Pizza

Review content:
Sometimes it's the best! The Sicilian Pizza is cheesie and really good. Lamonica's decor is that of a NY subway station. If I am not mistaken, the owner brings in the dough from NY because the water here is not good for making pizza dough. The downside is that the guys who bake the pizzas do not know when to take them out of the oven. The result is that the cheese is on the brown side. Overdone for NY pizza. Pizzas with toppings don't burn as much. Solution: If you buy a whole pie, ask that that they take it out of the oven before the cheese gets too brown; especially if you are going to take it home and REHEAT it. A better NY place (argueably) is Village Pizza in Larchmont Village.
