Our group had lunch at the Elephant Bar yesterday. Waiter was pleasant and capable. Food was okay. My brownie dessert was burned, hard, whipped cream melted at serving. Was replaced with a fresh one. I did not understand the billing procedure. Bill was $12.57, paid with $20, $7. returned. No coin. This was the same with all 12 in our party. Where did the 43 cents go? Was it a part of the tip? Grautuity was not included in bill. Does the waiter get the "extra"? Does it go in the till? Why is payment rounded? A first for us. The 43 cents was not the issue, but I am sure the waiter could make some additional. funds this way. $6. average from our group, how much in a day? Amazing concept.
