Review content:
In a not-so-busy section of Market Street you'll find the Mayan Gypsy. You can't miss the beautiful colors on the front of the building and the gorgeous atmosphere continues once you walk through the door. It's fun, festive, casual but not TOO casual with color and art everywhere. Too many restaurants in Louisville completely overlook ambiance, which I think is a VERY important element of your dining experience.
But the Gypsy isn't just ambiance, the food is amazing! I've never had anything there that wasn't excellent, and it's not too pricey. One of the best things I every had there was a cheesy empanada.
The service is always very friendly and the fact that it's a unique restaurant for our town bumps it even higher up the scale.
