Review content:
I took my toddler here expecting nice exhibits and lots of butterflies, but was rather disappointed. The museum is much smaller than I expected and just not all that inspiring. There's a bug room (where you can actually pet a tarantula!) and then there was a room full of large-scale models of bugs, which was kind of neat. The butterflies are kept in an enclosed area that you can walk through. It's very nice with little bridges and a rocky pathway. However, strollers were not allowed in there and my child who had just learned to walk had a hard time. He ended up walking off the path and falling into a big mud puddle. All in all, we didn't see that many butterflies and I left feeling like, "That was it?" I will admit that it's probably a better outing if you have older children.
