I have been with Ackerman for several years now. I know they have over 60,000 customers in the Atlanta and North Georgia area. If my alarm goes off, Ackerman is calling within seconds. In fact, they are the only security company in the industry to give a written guarantee on their response time. I have read the other reviews here and have to ask why these reviews can only be found here? Kudzu.com has an entirely different story for this Company. Ackerman installed my system at a fraction of the cost of the 'free' systems and their systems are of a much higher quality. I also own my system and it is not proprietary equipment. Their warranty is as much as 3 times longer than anyone else offers. I would like to point out though, I was cautioned by my Sales Rep. and Tech., if we are to switch phone service from the land line, we should expect problems. The other phones can not carry an alarm signal and that may not alert Ackerman if our alarm was going off. The folks at Ackerman are very specific, test your system monthly, if you change your phone provider, go to the wireless monitoring. I even signed a form saying we were aware of this. We shut off our phone service altogether and have wireless monitoring. It is very reliable, never missed a call, the only reliable way to go. This Company uses state of the art equipment and monitoring facility. They have the only 5 diamond certified central station in North Georgia. I am sure they have multiple layers of call redundancy. I found out they even have a back up central station in Michigan. With this level or redundancy, how could they miss a call? I am completely satisfied with Ackerman and have my entire family, in Georgia, protected by them. We will not be changing providers.
