Review content:
It seems Fast WH Co. has a habit of telling people a very low price on the phone, then adding on a bunch of extra, unnecessary charges when they get to the home.
The guy who came and gave me an estimate looked in his Home Depot book and told me we were in danger of carbon monoxide poisoning from inferior venting. He wanted to change the 2-foot vent to the tune of an extra $150. Everyone else who came out said that was total b.s. and while they didn't want to say anything bad about Fast, they let me know they had heard complaints about them. Apparently, they do fine work, but have a habit of overcharging.
Also, their warranty on the estimate/work order was very iffy.
Just be very careful and make sure you get a lot of estimates, check w/ the BBB and read the fine print before going with these guys. I finally went with Washington Water Heaters after doing that, and am extremely satisfied. It seems like for every 10 or so dishonest companies in this arena, there's 1-2 honest company/installer.
