Review content:
Shelor's repair center is an experience I go out of my way to avoid. I have only gone there for repairs that absolutely must be done at the dealer. The repair work they do is adequate and they've never tried to stick me with unnecessary work, but it's an enormous hassle to get anything done. You must have an appointment, except for oil change-type work, and no matter when they plan to get to your car your appointment is for a check-in time around 7 or 8 am. This means if you are unable to leave the facility (and as their shuttle provides no means for car seats, many of us with small children are stuck there) you will be sitting in a dull, not especially kid-friendly (or even adult-friendly) waiting room for many hours. Furthermore, the people making the appointments don't appear to communicate with the people doing the work, so even if you notify them that you're going in for a specific part to be installed, they won't check whether the part is available until they have your car and are working on it -- which can mean a second torturous appointment, as I learned the hard way.
