Review content:
Good: It is less than two miles from my house. No way in tarnation would I consider this a "destination store" (5+ mi drive, each way, in heavy suburban traffic), as many Wal-Mart customers seem to do.. Bad: Rude staff, stock clerks who barge by without saying "excuse me" (compare that to Target, where the staff are impeccably polite); equally rude fellow customers (either running you aside as they race their shopping cart and/or needlessly blocking the aisles; I've also found this at the Newtonville Whole Foods, so it's not just a Wal-Mart thing). Improvements: Short of a reprogramming of the gene pool of many Wal-Mart employees and shoppers, I'm afraid no improvements are possible. Other: Possibly the ONLY place in Greater Boston (I haven't been to the infamous Market Basket in Chelsea, so perhaps I digress) where people walking out of the store will plunder at a turtle's pace, in a drunken-like zig zag pattern, in front of moving vehicles. Yes, pedestrians DO have the right of way, but also have a responsibility to cross the street as purposefully and as safely as possible..
