I visited this store on Saturday 2/14/2009. Initially, I thought they were professional and made an appointment for 3:00pm. I had both my kids so I dropped off the stuff I wanted to sell and asked the rep how long it would take before going through both my boxes and she said about 30 minutes. I told her than that I would be back in 30 minutes after I fed the kids because I had both my 6 year old boy and my 13 month old daughter with me and I did not want them running through the store. The rep agreed and said ok. We left, ate lunch, and came back 45 minutes later and were told they needed another 30 minutes to look through the stuff. I left again, this time to Starbucks up the street and came back at a little before 5pm and as soon as I walked in, noticed an exact replica of my girl’s Gymboree onesie “I “heart” daddy” on the display behind the counter. By the way, in the release I signed for them, I said that I do not preauthorize the amounts they gave me so they may not put my stuff up for sale without me agreeing to the amount. Needless to say they weren’t done “looking through” but this time I went to another rep and she said that once I leave the store, they actually stop looking at my stuff because they assume I will come back when they call “maybe a day later”. Couldn’t the first rep have told me this? I would have not left in the first place! Anyway, I stayed and watched them pick through my stuff hastily. They picked out a couple of things and said $15 cash or more for store credit. I took the cash. I assumed that someone else must have had the same Gymboree onesie and did not ask about it until I got home and looked through my leftover stuff to make sure mine was still in the boxes. I could not find it; that was her top! I can’t believe they just took it like that and didn’t think I would notice. I will never go back there again and will let everyone I know how slimy they were. It’s not because the money, they would have only given me $2 for that top. It’s just the moral of “stealing”. Ugh!
