My wife and I moved from West Seattle to a new home in Queen Anne. Being that this is a 1960's home we wanted to know if the fireplace was working! So we called The Mad Hatter out for a chimney inspection.
They noticed that the chimney did not have a chimney cap and my entire firebox needed rebuilt, and a new damper installed.
Damage due to not having a chimney cap.
They sealed the crown and and fixed the flashing.
he also told me to try and keep the moss off of the top to avoid tuck-pointing.
This company is honest, hard working, doesn't mislead os scam you, doesn't talk down to you, and appreciates your time.
I recommend The Mad Hatter for all your fireplace cleaning chimney Needs.
