Businiess name:  Pacific Rim Elementary School

Review content:
This is an elementary school in Carlsbad for grades k-5. It is a very high achieving school and tends to score very well on their standardized tests. Don't ask my opinion on those tests though; if that is important to you though, the school does well in that area. The teachers are well-versed in current methodology and go above and beyond in the subjects. They really do strive to make learning fun for their students. The current principal, Steve Ahle, has definite mixed reviews from the parents and teachers. The one negative to this school, in my view, is that it is a pretty homogeneous environment. Most belong to fairly well-off, Caucasian families. There were only 2 male teachers last year on the staff, the rest being primarily young women.
