Businiess name:  David's Beautiful People

Review content:
I have mixed feelings about David's. I went for a consolation for color and the colorist and I chatted a LONG time--I was very impressed as she really seemed to understand what I wanted and needed. I had been growing my hair out for 4 months and I wasn't at all interested in getting it cut. The colorist insisted I at least get a trim so she would know where to place the color/highlights. She arranged for David himself to "trim" my hair. He too seemed to understand that I wanted a trim (and I emphasized a number of time that I was growing my hair out!) I asked him just to clean-up an even out the bob I was growing out an uneven but cute cut. I told him also that I had very curly hair and preferred to wear my hair curly over straight. The "trim" turned into a full-on cut that subsequently DOES NOT work for my curly hair. The only way it looks haf-decent is if I spend about an hour blowing it out and then flat ironing it (who has that kind of time every day--I sure don't!) I guess I should have been clued-in when he told me I should get a Japanese straightening perm. I asked why and told him I liked my curly hair. The cut is lackluster at best and not very well executed. It is sloppy in the back and I need to go to another stylist to clean-up the line. It will likely end-up being even shorter. Ironically, the color I got was the best I have had in a very long time but the haircut is so problematic that I have been wearing a hat most days for the last two weeks. When I was waiting for my color to process another client mentioned to the colorist how annoyed she was with David because she had come in for a trim a couple weeks prior and he had (apparently) given her the same haircut I got and it didn't work for her hair either. My experience at David's s Beautiful people made me feel pretty dam ugly!!!!
