I agree with Leah O. about this Walmart. I'm not sure Maria H. has ever actually BEEN there to give such a favorable review, or if she just works for that store. (Maybe she's never seen the fabulous service at other Walmarts, so has nothing to compare this one with!) My daughter is a long-time Walmart Associate in a different city and EVERYONE within Walmart's So. Cal. stores knows about the one in Torrance. RUDE, BEYOND RUDE employees, poor and/or damaged stock, dirty store (inside and outside) and TOTAL lack of customer service. There's also NEVER a parking space available day or night, and the longest check-out lines with the SLLLLLOOWWWEST checkers I've ever seen! (And I've been in a LOT of Walmarts!) I tried this store SEVERAL times after they opened to be sure I wasn't making a rash judgement... happened EVERY time I was in the store. I saw layaway employees (when they HAD a layaway dept.) all go to lunch at the same time and leave an elderly lady customer standing in line... in the dark... for an HOUR!!!!!!!! I am NOT joking - they even turned off the overhead lights on her! I called the main desk on my cell phone and asked for the manager to be overhead paged immediately... then I listened. NO OVERHEAD PAGE was ever made, but the person came back on the phone and told me she had paged and paged through the store but the Manager wasn't responding. A tip for all Torrance residents... the Walmart in Cerritos is like night and day difference from this one and only about 25 minutes away on the 91. Go there instead. That's what I do now... and everyone else I know does the same!
